Can You Do Extreme Couponing With Bingo

Extreme couponing has arrived in The UK. This shopping phenomena originated in The US and even became the subject of a popular TV series. Savvy shoppers can spend hours pouring over adverts and clipping coupons before embarking on a trip where they can leave supermarkets with a trolley full of items in exchange for just a few pennies.
The UK extreme coupon scene jumped into the media spotlight last week following a recent Daily Mail article about Jordan Cox. The 16 year old voucher vulture is clipping coupons and helping others save pounds on their shopping bills. Since that article over 10,000 people have liked an Extreme Couponing UK Facebook group. The group tells you about the latest coupons to cut and how to go about picking up cheaper shopping items.
All this cost cutting did get us thinking about bingo... is there a way for players to enjoy cheap games? Well of course online there's the free bingo and penny games that we regularly feature and you can't get cheaper than free - unless of course you're getting paid to play! So what about offline? Do bingo halls offer coupons to entice you in to enjoy their bonhomie? Sadly for coupon hunters it's not good news.
We popped on to Mecca Bingo to see if they offered players coupons - and at the moment they don't. Under the 'Clubs' section you can find out about their latest promotions including a 2-4-1 Text Tuesday event, cheap Friday night games and a great deals if you play on a Monday or Sunday. Over at Castle Bingo and Gala Bingo there's a similar story - no coupons to print off or use. In fact, Castle don't even tell us about their latest promotions.
Could bingo halls therefore be missing a trick here? Perhaps by offering coupons to print off and use on for example food and drink they could entice players into the halls for a few games of bingo. Of course they would need to be regulated so that they're not taken advantage of but there does seem to be scope for bingo halls to up their game in this area. Of the sites we visited, Mecca seem the most switched on when it comes to promoting their clubs - they even have their own magazine now and that could be a useful vehicle for including coupons for bingo bargain hunters to clip and use.
If we do spot any useful offers for bingo clubs then we'll be sure to let you know.
