Will Silva Leave Before Solskjaer

This season's sack race was won by Watford's Javi Garcia. He was dismissed from The Hornet's hotseat after just four games. Four games later and Quique Sánchez Flores is hoping he's going to have time to turn around his side's fortunes. However other Premier League manager's are possibly feeling a little hotter around the collar. Surprisingly these include Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Mauricio Pochettino.
Going into the latest International break, Manchester United have just 9 points and are 15 points behind Liverpool. Spurs are just two points better off than United, but have had a torrid time in Europe and been dumped out the Carabao Cup by Colchester. The question is will the respective boards at White Hart Lane and Old Trafford decide that it's time to act. More intriguingly will a departure from one side faciliate a departure from the other.
Pochettino To Replace Solskjaer?
Looking at William Hill's "Next Premier League Manager To Leave" market we see that Solskjaer is 3/1 to depart the United hotseat. Meanwhile Pochettino is 5/1. In our view Solskjaer was not the best choice for the United job. His CV consisting of managing Molde and Cardiff City doesn't scream of a manager who could turn Mourinho's United into a better team. If anything United are poorer this season, although they can argue that injuries have blighted their start.
United's next game is against Liverpool. A win could trigger a change of fortune for Solskjaer but a heavy embarassing defeat would make his position difficult. The United board may feel it's better to write off the season (again) and get a new man in place before things get worse. That new man could well be Pochettino. Tottenham just don't seem to be firing on all cylinders this season. We wonder whether Poch's pre-Champions League Final comment regarding leaving has had an impact on the team.
Marco Silva Next To Go?
If Solskjaer does leave Old Trafford then we'd be very surprised if they don't go all out to get Pochettino. This could work out well for both sides although Poch will be a hard act to follow. One manager who won't be getting either job though is Everton's Marco Silva. He's favourite at Evens to be the next Premier League Manager to leave his post. Everton have had a torrid start to the season and are currently in the relegation zone albeit on goals scored.
Quique Sánchez Flores is fourth favourite for the sack race at 14s whilst Newcastle's Steve Bruce and Ralph Hasenhuttl are next at 16/1. You never know what will happen next at Watford but if they remain grounded at the foot of the Premier League then Flores' second stint at Vicarage Road may be cut short. Bruce should be safe at Newcastle - at least until January - but Hasenhuttl could be an interesting outside bet. Saints are struggling and Hasenhuttl looks lost since losing Danny Rohl as his right hand man. Southampton also have a tough half a dozen or so games ahead and could well be in the relegation zone heading into December.
