Daily Fantasy Games At Paddy Power
Published On 14th September 2020
Fantasy Football games are still quite popular, but for many they can be quite a commitment. If you're anything like me you start a season with good intentions but within a couple of weeks - usually after a poor start - you quickly lose interest. Paddy Power however may well have the solution. They've launched a new Daily Fantasy Sports game that gives you the chance to win cash prizes.
Daily Fantasy Sports games give you all the fun and thrill of selecting a fantasy team, but without the hassle of the season long commitment. They are popular in The US so Paddy Power are hoping to emulate the success of FanDuel and Draft Kings. The competitions, for sports such as NFL, NBA, Football and Golf, only last for a day (or couple of days). The aim of the game is the same as the season long version and that's to pick the team to score you the most points. The player with the most points wins!
How To Play Daily Fantasy Sports
To play Daily Fantasy Sports you simply need to login to Paddy Power and select the 'Fantasy' channel from the top of the page. Within the Fantasy section you will discover a wide range of sport tabs. Select from NFL, NBA, MLB, EPL, UCL and WNBA. Within these sections you'll then find various tournaments that you can opt-in and play. For example at time of writing there's a £1K Mon EPL Golden Goal and £750 Mon EPL Toe Poke.
When you've decided the tournament to play it's then a case of selecting your team. For example for the Toe Poke game (Man United v Arsenal) you have a £50 budget to select a Captain, three forwards/midfielders and a defender. To assist you with your selections there are hints/tips available. We couldn't see a lucky dip option though - which would have been nice.
Once you've made your selection you then pay to confirm your entry. As far as we can see there are no free to enter games. The cheapest we found was 25p but the entry fee varies from game to game. Most games are a few pounds but we did see one that costs £1590 to play. To assist newbies to the games there are Beginner Contests so you can play against players of similar experience.
As well as Beginner Contests there are other variants available to play too. These include Beat The Score - where the prizes are shared, Multipliers - where you can double your money and Head To Heads that allow you to play against a single opponent. Other contests are 3-100s and 50/50s. These have limited player numbers and prizes for top half finishers respectively.
