Love Island 2019 Latest Betting Odds
This Offer Has Expired.
Just over 12 months ago we went all Mystic Meg and predicted that Niall Aslam and Kendall Rae-Knight would win Love Island 2018. Aslam was the bookie's favourite for leading male whilst Dani Dyer was odds on to be best female. As is only Dyer was the right pick as she won the show alongside Jack Fincham. Unperturbed by this complete disaster of tipster prowess we're going to have another whirl at predicting the Love Island 2019 winners.
First off we should say that we've not watched any episodes of the current series. In fact all we know about it is that someone was kicked out and someone else joined the show whilst sitting in a non-bubbling hot tub. Most of what we've seen of Love Island 2019 has in fact come from watching Gogglebox. It's safe to say we expect the status quo to remain the same.
Gill & Griffiths To Win?
Predicting who will win Love Island 2019 therefore is based solely on the latest odds. Leading the charge to follow in the footsteps of Dyer and Fincham are Michael Griffiths, Curtis Pritchard, Amber Rose Gill and Amy Hart. All four are 15/8 to be top male or top female respectively. Not exactly helpful for making our prediction.
Paddy Power however have more definition between the leading candidates. Griffiths remains the favourite male at 15/8 whilst Gill is at 2/1 in the ladies category. Compared to last year, Dani Dyer was 15/8 to win the show so that means Amber Gill and Michael Griffiths should be our predictions to win in 2019. However there really is only a slither of a gap between Gill and Griffiths and their rivals Curtis Pritchard & Amy Hart.
Should You Bet On Love Island
However, the thing with Love Island is that it's a fluid show. It's scheduled to last eight weeks but could be extended further. That means that new guests can be added and current contestants pulled out. That will chop and change the markets so whilst four of the residents are 15/8ish now, who knows if they'll be in the show in a few weeks time?
As much as we understand why people watch Love Island, it's a show that just doesn't appeal to us. From a betting perspective we feel that it's a non-starter too. In fact our advice would be to take your hard earned readies and seek out alternative ways to spend it. A Netflix subscription to find better TV shows perhaps?
However, if push comes to shoves then we're not going to argue with the bookies this year. Amber Gill and Michael Griffiths for the win.
