Think Bingo Closes It's Doors After 15 Years

Published On 9th April 2019

As is the norm these days, we can't get through a month without reporting on bingo site closures. Trying to keep track of what's open and closed isn't the easiest of tasks, especially when it comes to Cozy Games - now ElectraWorks. What we do know is that our own Snappy Bingo has fallen by the wayside, but that's not the only brand that's closed it's doors.

Perhaps the biggest surprise is that Think Bingo, one of the original online brands is no more. Think Bingo opened in 2004 under a company called Herotech. It was acquired by Cashcade (Foxy Bingo) and at one stage even featured in the adverts for The Jeremy Kyle Show. Who can forget the song "I know where all the girls go". That was the pinnacle of Think's bingo journey and it went into decline as the focus switched to Foxy.

Goodbye Snappy

A renaissance of the brand was expected when in September 2018 Think Bingo became the first Cashcade brand to transition to GVC's ElectraWorks platform. It paved the way for it's bigger sister brands, Cheeky and Foxy. However evidently this move hasn't been a success for Think Bingo and sadly it's now joined other well known names in the online bingo graveyard. Visitors to the old Think Bingo site are now invited to head over to Foxy.

Joining Think is are own Snappy Bingo. This launched in 2014 with a croc and alligator theme. It did OK up until 2017 when welcome offers and bonus terms changed. After that the site wasn't attractive to players nor to ourselves in terms of promotions. Once the site struggled to generate positive revenues it was inevitable that it's time was up.

Other Closures

We suspect the same issues were encountered by other Cozy brands that have closed their doors. We're aware of the following who have closed: Big Bucks Bingo, Comfy Bingo, Have A Ball Bingo, Naughty Bingo, Plush Bingo, Starlight Bingo and Swag Bingo. These bingo brands have also been joined by the mobile casino - SlotMatic.

Sadly these won't be the last of the closures on the Cozy Games platform. Snappy was actually due to close in May - we don't know why it was changed to April - but we know other brands are also earmarked for closure for that month too. Thankfully it's not all bad news as new bingo sites are still launching. We wonder if they will manage to survive as long as Think did?
