ITV Bingo & Telly Talk Bingo To Close
Article Updated On 7th August 2018
Cashcade, the group that are behind the Foxy Bingo and Cheeky stable, have announced that two more of their brands are to close. ITV Bingo and Telly Talk Bingo will both shut their doors to players from the 31st August 2018. Players have been notified in an email about the forthcoming closure. All cash sums should be withdrawn and all bonuses played by the end of the month.
The demise of both ITV Bingo and Telly Talk Bingo is not a surprise. ITV Bingo launched in 2010 and offered a confused mish mash of Corrie and Emmerdale rooms. Visitors were encouraged to play bingo and watch their favourite TV shows but there was little relationship between the site and the shows. Howevet, things started to look up when the brand produced TV adverts featuring Coronation Street.
No Telly Talk At Telly Talk
ITV Bingo though lost headway - and perhaps it's raison d'etre - when it's top shows like Emmerdale, Corrie, Jeremy Kyle etc started being connected to other bingo brands. The arrival of Coronation Street Bingo at Gala in 2013 was pretty much the final blow for this site. ITV Bingo could have been huge - but Cashcade and ITV missed a trick by not being proactive enough.
That all said, they did try and come at bingo with a new angle by launching Telly Talk Bingo in December 2013. The site where 'bingo lovers talk telly' could pick up where ITV failed and have players chatting about their favourite shows. It was great in theory but unlike the adverts you were hard pushed to find anyone chatting about TV shows in the bingo rooms. In fact we're hard pushed to remember anything television related occurring on Telly Talk!
Closing Accounts - What To Do
If you have an account with ITV Bingo or Telly Talk Bingo then you need to login before the 31st August. After that date you'll not be able to access the sites. You're encouraged to "ensure that your bonus balances are utilised before this time, and that you ensure you've withdrawn any remaining cash balance".
Once the sites close then we expect that they'll redirect to Think Bingo - as has been the case for previous Cashcade closures. We do wonder other sites such as Rollover, Bingo Scotland, Cheeky and even Think have much of a future. This network of sites has fallen from grace in recent years and only Foxy is probably safe from closing down.
