All About Cashcade Bingo Sites
Cashcade were once at the forefront of bingo in the UK with some of the most recognisable brands including Foxy Bingo, Think Bingo and Cheeky Bingo. Until 2018, all sites run using the Dragonfish bingo platform (Cassava/Brigend) but some sites operated within a network whilst others like Foxy are more standalone. In 2007 Cashcade acquired Herotech to add Think Bingo, Bingo Scotland and Think Bingo Plus to it's portfolio which resulted in the latter being renamed Little Big Bingo. This group grew further with the addition of sites for the likes of ITV, The Mirror Group and others. In 2009, Cashcade were acquired by Party Gaming and more recently it was taken over by GVC.
Jeremy Kyle
The launch of Cheeky Bingo in 2009 and the popularity of Foxy Bingo were just a couple of factors which help keep Cashcade at the peak of UK bingo. They became even more well known by advertising themselves around the likes of the Jeremy Kyle Show and running big budget TV ads. Foxy became a recognisable character within the online bingo world and even rubbed shoulders with celebs from shows like TOWIE. He even launched a number of beauty products too. Whilst Foxy and Cheeky's stock rose, other brands on the network - such as Rollover that offered lottery lines to bingo players - fell down the pecking order. ITV Bingo drifted into no man's land, Mirror Bingo moved to Virtue Fusion and Think et al were left unloved by their new owners. With Foxy flying high this wasn't an issue. The brand was well loved by players and brought much needed colour and life to the online arena.
Network Changes
Only Foxy could outfox itself.. and it did. In January 2017, GVC Holidings decided it was high time to revamp Foxy's image. Perhaps this was to pre-empt UKGC rulings but in hindsight it was a stupid decision. Out went the logo of the last 10 years, Jeremy Kyle was canned along with the brand's affiliates. Hollywood star Heather Graham was announced as the celebrity inside the Fox! Heather's tenancy as Foxy lasted less than 12 months and in our view this change in marketing contributed to the downward slide of Foxy. During 2018 GVC closed a number of the long established Cashcade brands. ITV, Telly Talk, Little Big, Kiss My, Graces and Bingo Scotland all closed their doors to players. In a further change (September 2018), Think Bingo - the first online brand - ended it's relationship with 888/Dragonfish and moved to the Cozy Games platform - recently acquired by GVC. Think was followed by Cheeky and Foxy's bingo and casino products. Surprisingly Think then closed down!
The Last Laugh For Foxy
When we originally wrote this section we noted that "Foxy is now trying to re-establish itself as a major online bingo brand on it's new platform" and gave visitors suggested alternatives for those players who liked the Dragonfish platform. Interestingly since then Entain have gone from strength to strength whilst Dragonfish - now under to ownership of Broadway Gaming - has declined. Did the folks at Foxy recognise this? Most certainly the Entain platform used by Foxy, Gala, Coral, Cheeky and Ladbrokes is a better set-up than the current offering from Dragonfish/Broadway Gaming. Entain have added multiple themed bingo rooms to their roster including Deal Or No Deal and Fluffy Favourites but also added big promotions such as The £100K Game and daily free games. Foxy remains one of the biggest names in online bingo and it's safe to say that they've also had one of the most colourful journeys.
