Now that Mariah Carey is blasting out in every store and the new John Lewis Christmas advert has finally dropped it is fair to say that the festive season is upon us. Now whilst many will be looking ahead to the big day (that's the 25th btw) there's another important event taking place much earlier. We're talking about Advent Calendar day on the 1st December. Traditionally you're'd find various festive and religious scenes behind the doors of the advent calendar. However these days they're now much bigger affairs. Chocolate, beer, gin, candles and even saucy adult toys can be found on various calendars for 12 to 24 days before Christmas!

So what's this got to do with bingo? Well two operators are currently offering their players the chance to win advent calendars. Tombola are running a prize draw whilst Heart Bingo are giving them away in special games. Tombola do like an advent calendar giveaway and have done this promo before. There's 500 to be won in fact with 250 being given away via social media and the rest via entries on either tombola or tombola arcade. To enter on Facebook or Instagram you simply need to leave your username in the comments. Whilst on the website you just need to submit your username via the form. Entries need to be in by 11pm on the 14th November 2021. Each of the 500 winners will receive a tombola advent calendar and there are chocolates behind the doors!

Over at Heart Bingo they're not giving away chocolate advent calendars. Instead you have the chance to win a Yankee Candle Advent Calendar. This room is open between 8am & 9pm Monday to Thursday & Sunday and 8am to 10pm Friday & Saturday. Tickets cost 5p each and you'll be playing to win a full house of 25 free spins that can be used on the Madame Destiny Slot Game. If you do win the jackpot then you'll be able to choose between the Yankee Candle Advent Calendar or a £25 cash alternative. We're assuming the tangible prize is worth a little bit more than £25 although the specifics of the prize aren't given on the Heart Bingo site. This promo runs until the 10th November but it'll be interesting to see if Heart run similar festive offers.
I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here
Of course before even we get to advent there's another little annual event that will be taking place and that is the new series of I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here. This year the series is again taking place in Wales and will feature Adam Woodyatt, David Ginola, Richard Madeley, Louise Minchin, Kadeena Cox, Frankie Bridge, Simon Gregson and DJ Snoochie. As far as we're aware Tombola (or more specifically Tombola Arcade) will be sponsoring the series and that usually means plenty of chances to win prizes. The new series kicks off on Sunday, November 21st so keep an eye on Tombola from next week to see what surprises they have lined up. Expect free prize draws, big money bingo jackpots and daily games.
The Annual Tombola Advent Calendar
Back to advent and we're expecting to see Tombola bring back their online version again for 2021. This should replace the current free game, Merge, and give participants a daily chance to win cash prizes. If history repeats itself then they'll also be a £5 bonus for all players who remember to open the doors of the calendar every day during advent. Whether other bingo sites also run daily festive promos remains to be seen. In the past the likes of Jackpotjoy, Heart and Wink have run daily advent style offers - and given away a lot of exciting prizes too - but we won't know the 2021 festive plans of these or other brands until the 1st December.
